Rudy’s name was inspired from the movie “Rudy.” Like the main character in the movie, our Rudy overcame a huge obstacle by getting out of animal control safe and sound during its busiest time of year. Rudy is determined to beat the odds and fulfill his dream of finding a loving, forever home. He is a lovable, compact pitty mix with a very expressive face. He’s approximately 1 year old, and sadly we don’t think he’s had the greatest start in life. His foster mom had never seen bathwater as black as it was for his first bath.
Although he started his life as a stray on the streets with no place to call home or a family to care for him, Rudy adores attention from people. His tail is always wagging. He gets along well with other dogs. He is working on using a bell to help in housetraining and knows some basic commands. He’s also working on his leash-walking skills and manners. Rudy has lots of energy, so he’ll need an adopter who is dedicated to giving him plenty of exercise and additional training. He will do best in a home with children aged 8 or older.
So if you’re looking for a cuddly little sidekick, Rudy’s your boy!
