The easiest way to make a difference in a child’s life and to give back this holiday season is to just drive!
Drive on down to the Candy Cane Lanes of West Allis, Wis.
Every year the community and neighborhood of West Allis puts on a free show of festive lights and holiday decorating displays to raise money for the MACC Fund – Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer.
That’s right, free! All donations raised are used for treatment and research for childhood cancer.
The holiday light displays are shown every year, starting after Thanksgiving until the day after Christmas.
This year, take a drive through Candy Cane Lane starting November 24 through December 26. Drive from North of Montana Avenue to South Oklahoma, and from West of 96th Street to East 92nd Street.
My visit consisted of friends and hot chocolate! Yum. And some of the homes even have lawn music! How cool is that? You could typically see most of the displays from the hours of 6- 10 p.m. However, some homes keep their display lights on overnight.
So get dressed, get the kids ready, and make this a night of joy!
