The International Institute of Wisconsin chose the theme “Celebrate the Culture of the Story” for this year’s folk fair with the hope they could give people the opportunity to embrace the way food, music, dance and art enrich and explain culture.

Children will have the chance to purchase a passport to collect stamps from the different groups. Families will also be able to enjoy youth music and entertainment along with a craft and demonstration area that will highlight a variety of ethnic traditions.

New activities and events this year include the “One World, One People” photo exhibit; Sister Cities International Art and Writing display; and the World Heritage Site photo display.

Holiday Folk Fair International will also host a United States citizenship naturalization ceremony on Nov. 17 at 10:30 a.m. and a 5K run/walk on Nov. 18 at 9 a.m.

Whether you choose to dance your way across the aisles, shop in the International Bazaar or nibble at a variety of food, fairgoers have lots of options this year at the Holiday Folk Fair International.
