If you’ve taken a stroll in the lower level of the library, then you may have seen the Archives office windows adorned with pictures of the past.A few snapshots taken during Mount Mary College’s beginnings were chosen to be recreated in an upcoming Programming Activities Council event.
The purpose of the event is to celebrate the diversity of women leaders on campus and how much they have evolved in the course of 100 years.
The event will take 10 historical photos of Mount Mary students and recreate them with current students.
The images will be mirrors of one another; the “then” photos will be in original black-and-white, and the “now” photos will be in color, with students wearing current clothing trends and a few nuances hinting to the “then” photo.
The photo shoot is scheduled for April 15, from 2 to 4 p.m., prior to the Multicultural Fair.
Students will be able to sign up to participate in the photo recreation in the upcoming weeks.
Participating students will meet at the switchboard at 1:45 p.m.
